the first shiba inu i have ever seen! couldn't stop squealing, the owner inside the shop (that we also went in to) probably thought i was weird being obsessed with their pet... he/she was so cute and fluffy like a teddy bear x)!! but personality-wise, not friendly to strangers :( no reaction at all and slightly wary... i was afraid it'll growl if i put my hand any closer to its nose to smell... i wish it was more friendly, would've made a nicer first encounter :s.

Nero, the fat maine coon in the neighbourhood, has a tag on his collar saying: please don't feed me, i'm on a diet. ^__^"

wiz & jack-jack

meet needle-felted wiz & jack-jack! they're birthday presents. my friend collected some of their actual fur for me to use, which was so soft compared to the wool i was using, but it was hard to incorporate them with the needle since the hairs are so short! so i just used them at the end and trimmed the excess hairs sticking out with scissors, so they wouldn't look too messy-looking..

grooming pets

read this great tip from Real Living magazine recently: use a rubber dishwashing glove (with ridges/bumps on the palms n fingers) to collect loose fur off your pet or from furniture. way cheaper than buying a special grooming brush n less conspicuous so the pet doesn't get irritated by it!

no more plain unleaded petrol from July..? as i was made aware of in high school chemistry class, ethanol biofuel comes from plants... ie. land is needed to grow them (habitat destruction). n their energy output is less than non-ethanol blends (though i don't know how much of an effect this really has).. hmmmm hopefully like cities, the plantations grow up, not out.
